The Youth Education Branch (a.k.a. Branch) of Hayes Valley Farm is pleased to announce Sunday FUNdays at the Farm! Branch is launching a semi-monthly opportunity to engage families in the great outdoors of our city center.

Sunday FUNdays will take place at Hayes Valley Farm on the first and third Sunday of the month starting in December from 1p-3p in the afternoon. The first opportunity to get FUNky is December 4th. Most amazingly- Sunday FUNdays are FREE!!!

FUNdays will coincide with our weekly Sunday volunteer day, and our hope is to encourage more youth and family involvement on these workdays. This is a chance to cultivate a multi-generational enrichment experience! No experience necessary, and young farmers ages 6 and over are welcome. We will facilitate workshop style programming in areas such as food crafting, art, games, nature awareness, community building and age appropriate stewardship tasks that will help contribute to our community project. Get to know soil, seeds, bugs, roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruit!

Hang out with your favorite Hayes Valley Farmers and create magical winter memories on your local urban farm!

timing?

1-3 is prime nap time for many toddlers -- I'm sure there are lots of kids that come, and maybe the activities aren't geared toward toddlers, but we'd love to come (probably will) and I wanted to comment that 1-3 is a very common nap time for these kiddos! Thanks....
