July 4th: Interdependence Day with the Photo Adventure Club

Description: Celebrate Interdependence Day at the Farm

SHARE AN AFTERNOON

On July 4, from 3-5pm, Hayes Valley Farm will host some of its favorite inter-dependent locals to share the afternoon:

• Pocket Seed Library, a seed sharing and picnicking group, will bring its traveling seed library

• Leah Rosenberg, artist and pastry chef, will make a cake

• The Photo Adventure Club will take Inter-dependence Day group portraits to share online with friends and photo pals

• Hayes Valley Farm volunteers will share a workout: shovel, wheelbarrow or plant a lane of the freeway food forest

• Everyone is invited to share snacks and swap seeds at their local community farm

After the event, we'll share our photos with the urban farm community by uploading them to the Hayes Valley Farm photo pool, the Photo Adventure Club photo pool, or the Facebook Photo Adventure Club group album.

• Open Garden Project, a group making online tools for gardeners, will be on an Interdependence Day Bike Tour through local community gardens in Minneapolis.

• You and your garden are invited to share your Interdependence Day celebration with a growing community of change-makers, artists, urban farmers, teachers, and geeks for good.
