In this class, participants will have a comprehensive introduction to all the various things to consider before taking the leap into beekeeping in an urban or highly populated suburban environment, such as legalities and liabilities of beekeeping, time and financial investment, community relationships, colony health and safety, beekeeper health and safety, hands-on inspection of the anatomy of a Top Bar versus Langstroth hive, strains of honey bees available, and options for getting bees and resources for beekeepers clothing, hive equipment and tools
