In this class, students will study and explore various concepts including soil health, structure, humus, soil life, nutrients and minerals for plants, as well as various strategies for maintaining soil health and fertility. Learn about bio-remediation techniques for the home, the city, and the bio-region while working with compost, worms and compost teas. Lectures, discussions and hands-on activities introduce students to techniques and varied applications in the urban landscape.
