SOILS 102. Introduction to Worms
Deeper Dive: SOILS
When: Monday, November 22nd - 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Description: Three hours of lecture, discussion, and hands-on outdoor/classroom activity. Students study and explore various aspects of worm composting including the various types of worms and worm bins, benefits, products, conditions, food, breeding habits, design considerations, bedding, harvesting worms and castings, design ideas and closing waste stream loops. Demonstration and optional hands-on activities provide an opportunity for students to design and build their own worm bin. Lectures and hands-on introduce students to techniques and varied applications.
There are no prerequisites to take this class.
What to bring: Questions, Bins, Drills, Bedding. Food, Worms

Cost and Considerations: The cost for the class is sliding scale from $50 - $75, for those who can afford it please do so, for those who cannot we are offerring work trade and scholarships ($25, enter code "soils2010" at checkout for half price).
No one will be turned away for lack of funds, only lack of passion.
