URBAN FOOD SYSTEMS: Forage Walk with Fred Bové

Saturday, February 12, 2011, 02:00pm - 03:30pm

The exploration of alternative strategies for food and food support systems leads us on a search for local expertise and wisdom. On this 90-minute walk through Golden Gate Park, Fred Bové will teach us all about the edible landscape in San Francisco. We will gather at Hayes Valley Farm starting at 1:00pm, and then head over to Golden Gate Park at 2:00pm. Meet at Hayes Valley Farm between 1-2pm, or inside Golden Gate Park, at the South Windmill (Murphy Windmill), at 2pm.

Instructor: Fred Bové

Cost and Considerations: The cost for the class is $50, for those who can afford it please do so, for those who cannot we offer work trade and scholarships (enter code "strategies2011" at checkout for half price).

No one will be turned away for lack of funds, only lack of passion.

There are still seats available! Please complete the online registration so we have ample materials and staffing. You will receive an email from us confirming your registration.
