A seasonal day camp for KIDS, inspiring connection to growing food, community, and compost piles of fun!

Who: Kids age 3-13

Where: Hayes Valley Farm in the heart of San Francisco

When: Mondays-Thursdays, December 20-30, 2010

  • 9am-4pm (full day)
  • 9am-1pm (morning half-day)

Winter Wonderfarm includes: Stewardship, Art, Plants, Soil, Worms, Service-Learning, Hands-on projects, Farm Harvested Snacks, Fun in Community, Yoga, and Song

What to expect: Come dressed in layers, and weather appropriate gear, be prepared for chilly December days. We will have access to an indoor space for when it rains.

Cost & Considerations: The cost for a week, Monday-Thursday, 9am-4pm is $400, or $125 per day; The morning half-day program, 9am-1pm, is $200 for the week, or $75 per half-day. For those who can afford it please do so. For those who cannot afford we are offerring scholarships.

Why: Youth are the future stewards of the earth and we feel that having exposure to projects like Hayes Valley Farm in their early years will inspire the development of a generation inherently inclined to care for the earth and its inhabitants.
