Tuesdays, 6:30pm to 8:00p.m.

450 Laguna Street (between Oak & Fell)

San Francisco, California

A kitchen garden is any small garden that produces edibles for the kitchen. It can be in a backyard, patio, fire escape, deck—wherever there’s a spot of sun for a few plants to enjoy. These workshops are an opportunity to learn, share experiences, and ask questions about gardening in the city.

Join Hayes Valley Farm educator Jay Rosenberg on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. for the free Kitchen Garden Workshops series. All levels of gardening experience (and inexperience) are welcome, whether you’re a green-thumbed urban gardener or you just want to grow a few herbs on your windowsill.

If you’re up for getting dirty, you’ll also have a chance to plant seeds to raise at home, and transplant seedlings into the farm’s Kitchen Garden and Salad Bar. Meet your neighbors and enjoy an evening at the farm.

No need to sign up. Just show up.
