Janelle Fitzpatrick grew up helping her artist-teacher mom create nature-based art programs on the south-side of Chicago. After studying Environmental Recreation at Southern Illinois University, she has been re-creating nature based programs for populations as diverse as bringing formerly homeless families on trips up the coast, building urban farms with youth at risk, and teaching yoga to Seniors.
Vanessa Roland, 28, was born and raised in the Cincinnati, Ohio area where she developed a love for creativity and nature very early on. After visiting the West Coast, she dreamed of moving there and exploring the natural beauty, culture, and creativity the area has to offer. So 4 ½ years ago, Vanessa and her partner relocated to San Francisco bringing only their dog, cat, and whatever would fit in their car. They now live in the Lower Haight neighborhood where they enjoy tending to their backyard garden and cooking fresh, local food.
Lindsey Goldberg, 26 was born and raised in a little town at the base of Mt. Tamalpais just north of San Francisco. She recently returned to the Bay Area after living, learning and traveling around the world. She is thrilled to have re-settled in the Bay, lives in the vibrant Mission district of S.F and loves living close to her family with the opportunity to have dinner with her parents once a week. Her passions include cultivating community, education, gardening, spending time outdoors, hiking and riding her bike, yoga, dancing and cooking up art with food in her kitchen, she has recently taken up bread baking.
Casey Gold is a San Francisco transplant, a young lady of 26 years originally from Los Angeles. Her eyes twinkled when she arrived to the Bay Area three years ago, knowing she had arrived to the most specialist of places. She has been involved in the SF urban agriculture movement for several years as a community garden volunteer, student of permaculture, and garden wizard. Casey studied Communication and Spanish Literature at UC Santa Barbara, sharpening her skills of expression, reflection, and linguistic diversity.
We hope to inspire and empower future generations to make the full circle connection about the importance of healthy food, from cultivation to preparation to celebration!
